Co-working provider Work.Life exists to change the way people feel about their working week. With each new building they undertake, their mission is the same: to create welcoming and inviting environments, where communities can thrive, and everybody knows your name.
Following continued success with five previous sites, Work.Life were looking to expand their co-working model when they selected 174 Hammersmith Road as its new site. Having demonstrated our ability to deliver an exciting design, which was in-keeping with both Work.Life’s brand guidelines and budget requirements, Area were appointed to deliver their latest workspace
Work.Life’s latest co-working facility has a lovely, spacious feel with high ceilings and large show-stopping windows, and has been designed to be in-keeping with their existing locations while also embracing the heritage of the local area. This includes a series of meeting rooms designed round entertainment in the area including The Hammersmith Apollo, The Kings theatre that once stood on the current buildings location, and the Oxford and Cambridge boat race which runs through Hammersmith.
Embracing Work.Life’s mission, the space provides a three-tiered membership system, and offers a variety of facilities for their members including a series of private offices, meeting rooms, private phone booths, as well as hot desking and a large community and social space. Furthermore, members also have access to free yoga sessions, weekly breakfasts and monthly massages.
Terry Nicholls, Project Designer at Area commented, “One of the main project objectives was to create a bright, fun and upbeat place for members to work. Acting as a shop front for Work.Life, the hot desking area and meeting spaces were carefully designed to show off the buzzy working environment within.
