Area Supports Homeless Oxfordshire Through Project Positive Initiative
As part of our ongoing commitment to delivering meaningful social value, Area has partnered with Homeless Oxfordshire to support individuals experiencing homelessness across the county.
This initiative forms part of Area’s Project Positive programme and aligns with our responsibilities under the Considerate Constructors Scheme, ensuring we make a positive impact in the communities where we work.
Supporting Local Communities in Oxford
While delivering a project in Oxford for Brydell Partners, we identified an opportunity to support a local charity.
Homeless Oxfordshire provides accommodation and long-term support to around 170 people each night across multiple sites, including O’Hanlon House. Unlike short-term hostels, residents can stay for up to two years, with dedicated support to help them move towards independent living.
Recognising the importance of this work, Area has begun supporting the charity by donating essential items such as clothing and toiletries. We also arranged a food shop to supply key kitchen items, helping the charity maintain day-to-day operations.
Creating Lasting Social Value
Project Positive encourages collaboration between Area, our clients, and local organisations to deliver initiatives that go beyond the built environment.
This initiative reflects our wider commitment to leaving a positive, lasting impact in every community we work in.
