Area & F5 Support Mini Medics Project at The Holy Family Catholic Primary School

As part of our commitment to delivering meaningful social value, Area and F5 are supporting the Mini Medics Project to provide life-saving first aid training to local primary school pupils.

On Tuesday 10 March 2026, around 120 students at The Holy Family Catholic Primary School took part in a Mini Medics training session delivered by New Forest First Aid.

The initiative forms part of Area’s Project Positive programme – our commitment to tackling climate change and delivering genuine social value across every project we undertake.

Supporting Our Community

As partners of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, Area actively seeks opportunities to engage with and support the communities surrounding our projects. This includes working with local schools, charities and community organisations to deliver initiatives that provide lasting benefits.

Area is also a Certified B Corporation. Supporting initiatives like Mini Medics reflects our wider commitment to creating positive impact beyond the projects we deliver.

Training Tomorrow’s Lifesavers

The Mini Medics programme teaches practical, age-appropriate first aid skills to primary school pupils. The sessions help children understand how to respond confidently in emergency situations and introduce them to essential life-saving techniques.

While first aid training became mandatory in state-funded schools in 2020, many schools have limited funding available to deliver comprehensive training. The Mini Medics Project helps bridge this gap by providing specialist instructors and resources directly to schools.

The organisation has a clear mission: to train one million school children in first aid by 2035.

In 2025 alone, the programme trained nearly 7,800 pupils, and the team is working towards reaching 30,000 students in 2026.

Collaboration Through Project Positive

The Mini Medics sessions at The Holy Family Catholic Primary School have been funded through the collaboration between Area and our client F5, as part of the ongoing workplace transformation project currently being delivered for F5 in Addlestone.

“We are extremely grateful to Fourfront Group and Area through their Project Positive initiative, for their support in making these Mini Medics sessions possible. Their contribution has enabled us to equip young students at The Holy Family Primary School with essential first aid skills, empowering them with the confidence to respond in emergency situations. It’s incredibly rewarding to see children engage so enthusiastically with learning life-saving techniques. Early education like this can make a real difference in building safer, more resilient communities.”

Project Positive encourages our clients to work alongside us on initiatives that reflect shared values – whether that’s community engagement, charity partnerships, wellbeing initiatives or environmental action.

Creating a Lasting Impact

The long-term ambition behind the Mini Medics programme is to see a trained first aider in every UK household – around 30 million people.

By giving children the knowledge and confidence to act in an emergency, this initiative helps build safer communities while leaving a positive legacy beyond the project itself.
